Motocross

This 1-day Introduction is for complete beginners; it's taught for students who have never been on a motorbike - of any kind.

If you're an experienced motorcycle rider, you'll still have a great day of learning new skills for a dirt course and the handling of a dirtbike; but this program will cover all of the basics, for everyone.

We'll teach you everything, top to bottom: pants, boots & helmet, gear overview, stretching (yes!), safety inspections, mounting, posture, controls, course exercises and more info on bike types, dealerships and how-to-continue.

1 - Session Clinic
Learn Motocross: 1-day clinic
We'll spend the morning learning the basics of gear, mounting, bike controls and how to manage braking, speed adjustments and turns.

In the afternoon, we'll go out on the course for figure-8s, weaving at slow speeds, riding over small obstacles and hill exercises of U-turns, K-turns and hill traversing.

To finish, we'll cover local riding clubs, courses, dealerships and equipment costs.

Skills you'll learn:
• your personal safety gear
• bike & safety inspection
• how to mount
• riding posture
• bike controls: how to use them
• friction zone: gas & clutch
• walking bike around range
• riding, braking, shifting & turning

Most people use our bikes, but if you have your own bike, definitely bring it! It's best to learn on your own equipment, after all.

Small Bikes?
We have 6 CRF150Fs, so we're happy to welcome "not tall" students - for those of you who stand 5'-ish.

Staying Overnight The Fairfield Inn gives a special $59 nightly rate for king-room & $79 for 2-queens-room for dirt bike students.
