Cantering Trail Ride for Intermediates
You'll have an incredibly smooth ride on beautifully trained Tennessee Walkers.
Tennessee Walkers are gaited horses - they’ve been bred over
generations to have a very smooth gait and it’s an amazing
riding experience. This is your chance to appreciate this unique
breed at Blue Sky Riding. These trail rides begin with a ½
hour orientation to acquaint you with your horse. |

(Co-Ed Outing) Beginner Trail Ride with Skill Orientation & Group Picnic
This is a rare opportunity to combine an orientation clinic
with a group trail ride & picnic. We've created this special horsemanship
program with instructor Sara Leslie. First you'll learn all about horses,
tack, and grooming. Then we'll give you a quick lesson in the arena followed
by a trail ride. After your trail ride you'll enjoy a catered picnic and
horse social. (Sometimes we even watch the Stanford polo team practicing
nearby.) |

Q: Is the Trail Ride with Skill Orientation Unique?
A: Yes. At most stables, you don't have the chance to learn about
equipment and get introductory instruction on horse control before your trail
ride. You get the best of both worlds with an orientation clinic followed
by a trail ride & picnic social.
Q: Where are the Webb stables?
A: Take Freeway 280 to Alpine Road. Exit going West on Alpine.
Take the first driveway on the right. Follow the road all the way through
the ranch. Watch the speed limit signs and be careful when you see horses!
Towards the back of the ranch you will see a covered arena on the right side.
Find a parking spot and the office is right by that arena. Make sure to wear
loose fitting jeans, or riding pants, bring your camera and sunblock, and
you can bring your own horse riding helmet if you have one.
